OUR STORY:
THE PHYSICIAN & PATIENT MOVEMENT
For generations, the physician–patient relationship was the heart of medicine — a sacred bond built on trust, time, and understanding. It was in those relationships that hope was restored, decisions were shared, and true healing happened.
Then, slowly, almost imperceptibly, that bond began to erode.
Policies replaced people. Metrics replaced meaning. Corporatization, insurance interference, rising costs, and administrative demands began pulling physicians away from the bedside and patients away from the care they deserved. Visits grew shorter. Decisions felt rushed. Patients felt unheard. Physicians felt constrained.
Care became transactional.
COVID didn’t create this crisis — it simply exposed what had already been happening for years.
Standing at that crossroads, Dr. Greg Wheeler and Dr. Chaminie Wheeler faced a defining choice: continue participating in a system that benefited from illness and bureaucracy, or build something rooted in integrity, prevention, and genuine human connection.
They chose to rebuild.
They founded CCC Health, a Direct Primary Care practice designed to restore what medicine was always meant to be — personal, transparent, and relationship-centered. By removing third-party barriers, patients and physicians could finally sit across from one another again as partners, not paperwork.
And something remarkable happened.
Trust returned.
Time returned.
Healing returned.
What they discovered next was just as powerful: they were not alone.
Across communities, physicians everywhere were feeling the same quiet call — to reclaim autonomy, restore integrity, and return medicine to its human roots. A movement had already begun, not driven by business models or politics, but by something simpler and deeper:
the belief that relationships matter most.
But one truth became clear. Medicine cannot be restored by physicians alone.
Trust has always been a partnership.
When patients and physicians stand side by side — informed, empowered, and connected — the CIRCLE of TRUST is complete, and healthcare becomes what it was always meant to be: personal, compassionate, and centered on people.
That is the heart behind We The Patient.

Our Mission
Educate. Empower. Engage. Encourage. Putting patients back in control of their healthcare and their healthcare dollars. We The Patient exists to help individuals understand the healthcare system, make confident decisions, and actively participate in care, so healthcare once again centers on individual relationships and trust.
Our Vision
Access. Care. Time. Transparency. Trust. Healthcare centered on the patient. We envision a healthcare system where patients are seen when they need care, understand their choices and costs, and partner with physicians in decisions guided by trust, not bureaucracy.
The Patient Movement
We create a space where patients have a voice, a community, and the confidence to participate actively in their care. Through education and connection, individuals learn what their care costs, why it matters, and how their choices shape both their personal health and the broader healthcare marketplace.
The Physician Movement
A long-standing physician movement is gaining new momentum, uniting doctors around a shared purpose: reclaiming autonomy, restoring professional integrity, and returning medicine to relationship-centered care while reestablishing physician leadership. Together, we champion independent practices, rebuild time and trust with our patients, and step forward with the freedom and courage to put people — not systems — at the heart of healthcare.
